The JACKSON SAFETY 36306 is a silica cloth welding blanket designed to protect surfaces, equipment, and personnel from weld spatter, sparks, and heat during hot work operations. Measuring 6 feet in length by 8 feet in width with a 0.04-inch thickness, this blanket provides broad coverage in tight or open workspaces. The silica cloth construction offers strong thermal resistance, making it suitable for welding, cutting, and grinding tasks where spark and slag containment is required. It ships as a single unit and is a standard tool for welders and fabricators working in industrial, commercial, and field settings.
This welding blanket is used in fabrication shops, construction sites, and maintenance environments where weld spatter or grinding sparks pose a risk to surrounding materials, equipment, or personnel. Its 6 ft by 8 ft footprint makes it practical for draping over machinery, shielding adjacent surfaces, or laying flat as a floor barrier beneath a work area. The tan silica cloth construction is well-suited for general-purpose hot work applications.
Designed as a general-purpose welding blanket for use in MIG, TIG, stick, and oxy-fuel welding and cutting applications where spatter and spark containment is required.
Welding blankets are deployed by welders, ironworkers, and maintenance technicians before beginning hot work. Inspect the blanket for burn-through, thinning, or compromised areas before each use and retire it from service if damage is found. Position the blanket clear of direct arc contact and do not use it as a substitute for a welding curtain when bystander protection is required. Follow applicable facility hot work permit procedures and OSHA 29 CFR 1910.252 guidelines for fire prevention during welding operations.
