The JACKSON SAFETY 23612 is a flange alignment tool designed for pipefitters and welders performing pipe flange fit-up. The Curv-O-Mark+ Flange Aligner aligns two bolt holes horizontally while simultaneously leveling the flange face vertically, completing both tasks in a single operation. An integrated pin with a 360-degree vial provides clear vertical leveling from any viewing angle, removing the need to balance a separate level on the alignment pins. This reduces setup time and improves consistency across repeated fit-up operations. Compatible with flange holes ranging from 1/2 inch to 1-7/16 inches in diameter and up to 2-1/2 inches thick.
The 23612 is suited for industrial piping installations, maintenance work, and fabrication shops where accurate flange alignment is required. It is primarily used by pipefitters, industrial welders, and mechanical contractors working on flanged pipe systems in commercial, industrial, and process piping environments. The tool is particularly useful in confined or awkward positions where balancing a separate level is impractical.
Designed for use with standard flanged pipe connections where bolt hole diameters fall between 1/2 inch and 1-7/16 inches and flange thickness does not exceed 2-1/2 inches.
Installation and use of this tool is performed by qualified pipefitters or welders during flange fit-up prior to bolting and welding operations. Ensure the pipe system is depressurized and de-energized before beginning any flange alignment work. The tool is inserted into the flange bolt holes and used to align and level the flange face before final fastening. Follow applicable codes including ASME B31.3 or other relevant piping codes for flange assembly requirements.
