The JACKSON SAFETY 20401 Charger Hard Hat is a front brim, cap-style head protector molded from lightweight high-density polyethylene (HDPE). Designed for industrial and construction environments, it provides impact resistance while keeping the wearer comfortable across long shifts. The contoured dome features a shorter bill that improves upward vision and a built-in rain trough that directs water away from the face. A 4-point ratchet suspension system offers more than 30 adjustment levels, covering head sizes from 6.5 inches to 8 inches. Licensed electricians, construction crews, and general trade workers are the primary installers and users of this class of head protection.
The 20401 is suited for residential and commercial construction sites, industrial facilities, and utility work environments. The cap-style profile helps reduce glare from overhead lighting or direct sunlight. A universal accessory slot is built into the shell, allowing compatible face shields, earmuffs, and other attachments to be added without additional hardware. An extra absorbent brow pad is included to manage perspiration during extended wear. The yellow high-visibility color supports site safety protocols where worker identification at a distance is required.
Features a universal accessory slot compatible with standard hard hat attachments including face shields and earmuff adapters designed for slotted cap-style hard hats.
Hard hat fitting and adjustment should be performed before entering any hazardous work area. Power down or de-energize nearby equipment as required by site safety protocols before beginning overhead work. Inspect the shell and suspension for cracks, dents, or damage before each use and replace the assembly if damage is found. Consult applicable OSHA and ANSI Z89.1 guidelines for proper use, replacement intervals, and accessory compatibility requirements.
