The JACKSON SAFETY 20204 is a cap-style, non-vented hard hat from the Advantage Series, designed for general industrial head protection. Molded from high-density polyethylene (HDPE), it features a contoured dome with a ridgeline profile that provides structural integrity while keeping weight low. The extended front bill offers added protection from sun exposure and falling debris, and a built-in rain trough channels water away from the neck. A 4-point easy-dial ratcheting suspension fits head sizes 6-1/2 to 8. This hard hat is appropriate for use on construction sites, in manufacturing facilities, and in other environments where ANSI-compliant head protection is required.
The 20204 is suited for general-purpose industrial and construction applications where non-vented head protection is needed. The slotted design allows compatibility with select Jackson Safety and Sellstrom branded accessories, including face shield adapters and Vibe earmuffs, making it adaptable to multi-hazard work environments. The replaceable sweatband supports extended wear by reducing moisture buildup. Safety managers, site supervisors, and individual tradespeople commonly specify this model for crews requiring economical, reliable head protection in red for role or zone identification.
Slotted adapter system accepts multiple Jackson Safety and Sellstrom branded hard hat accessories, including face shield adapters and Vibe earmuffs. Designed as an OEM-style general-purpose replacement or new-issue hard hat for industrial and construction applications.
Hard hat fitting and inspection should be performed by the user prior to each use in accordance with the manufacturer instructions and applicable ANSI Z89.1 requirements. Adjust the ratcheting suspension to achieve a secure, snug fit before entering any work area. Inspect the shell and suspension for cracks, dents, or wear at regular intervals and replace components as needed. Do not modify the shell, paint over it with non-approved coatings, or store it in direct sunlight for extended periods, as UV exposure and chemical contact can degrade HDPE over time.
