The JACKSON SAFETY 14816 is a C10 series bump cap designed to protect workers from minor bumps, scrapes, and scalp lacerations in low-clearance work environments. Molded from high-density polyethylene (HDPE), the shell is lightweight and keeps fatigue low during extended wear. The front brim style directs water and debris away from the face. An absorbent brow pad is included to manage sweat during active use. This bump cap is suited for general industry, maintenance, and light manufacturing settings where a traditional hard hat is not required by code but head protection is still warranted.
The 14816 fits head sizes from 6.5 inches to 8.25 inches using a 4-point pinlock sizing system, which allows quick, tool-free adjustment on the job. The gray HDPE shell is sold individually but is available in case quantities of 12, making it a practical choice for outfitting a crew. Replacement sweat bands and suspension inserts are available separately to support ongoing hygiene and serviceability. The cap can also be made compatible with an accessory face shield for added coverage in applications with splash or debris hazards.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and crew-supply bump cap for general industry and maintenance applications requiring minor head impact protection. Compatible with accessory face shields as noted by the manufacturer. Replacement sweat bands and suspension inserts for this cap are available as separate accessories.
Bump caps are worn and sized by the end user, not installed by a licensed trade. Before issuing to workers, confirm the intended application meets the protection level this cap is rated for, as bump caps do not meet ANSI Z89.1 hard hat standards and are not a substitute where hard hat compliance is required. Adjust the pinlock system to achieve a snug, stable fit before use. Inspect the shell and brow pad periodically and replace components when wear or contamination is evident.
