The JACKSON SAFETY 14742 is an insulated cable connector designed for high-conductivity electrical connections in demanding jobsite environments. The double dome-nose configuration uses two large dome-nose screws to secure a reliable low-resistance connection. A form-fitted rubber jacket covers the connector body, providing protection against dirt, oil, and moisture. The camlock mechanism mates male and female halves quickly and securely, making it suited for temporary power distribution, welding cable runs, and generator hookups handled by licensed electricians and power distribution crews.
This connector is rated for cable sizes from 1/0 through 2/0 AWG and is intended for use wherever camlock-style connections are required on construction sites, entertainment venues, industrial facilities, and other locations using portable power distribution equipment. Installation is performed by qualified electricians working with high-current portable power systems. The double dome-nose design is compatible with standard camlock male and female configurations, and the insulated rubber jacket makes it practical in wet or contaminated work areas.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or addition for standard camlock portable power distribution systems using 1/0 through 2/0 AWG cable.
Installation should be performed by a licensed electrician. De-energize and lock out the circuit before making or breaking any camlock connection. Verify cable gauge falls within the 1/0 to 2/0 AWG range before terminating. Follow applicable NEC requirements for temporary wiring and portable power distribution when deploying camlock connectors on a jobsite.
