The JACKSON SAFETY 14528 is a passive welding helmet built for trade professionals who work in confined, high-exposure welding environments. Constructed with a tough, heat-resistant pliable leather shell, this helmet provides full head, neck, and shoulder protection. It features a lift-front design for fast lens access without removing the helmet, and ships with a 2-inch x 4.25-inch safety plate. The automatic headgear tooth-release mechanism allows fast, single-handed adjustment, making it well suited for production welding environments where repositioning is frequent.
This helmet is designed for demanding applications including shipyard welding, pipe welding, overhead welding, and work in tight or confined spaces. The lift-front configuration is especially practical when welders must move quickly between inspection and welding positions. The pliable leather shell conforms to fit in close quarters and provides protection against spark and spatter from surrounding workstations. Sold in a minimum quantity of 4 units per order, this model is appropriate for outfitting crews and shop environments.
Designed as an OEM-style passive welding helmet for use in general industrial and trade welding applications requiring ANSI Z87.1-compliant head and face protection.
Fit and headgear adjustment should be verified before each use to ensure the helmet seats correctly and the lens window aligns with the welder's line of sight. Inspect the lens plate and leather shell for cracks, spatter buildup, or heat damage prior to any welding operation. The passive lens does not auto-darken; confirm the shade rating of the safety plate is appropriate for the welding process and amperage being used before beginning work.
