The ITM 308fb7238 is a flexible high-speed steel drill bit designed for drilling through wall cavities, floor joists, and framing members where rigid bits cannot reach. It measures 3/8 inches in diameter and 72 inches in length, giving technicians the reach needed for long, blind runs. The screw-point tip pulls the bit forward on contact, enabling fast starts without center-punching. The flexible shaft bends under load to navigate around obstructions, making it well suited for pulling wire and cable through finished or semi-finished structures.
This bit is used primarily in residential and light commercial applications where wire, cable, or low-voltage signal lines must be routed through confined spaces. Alarm installers, low-voltage technicians, and communication wiring contractors commonly use this bit when routing runs through walls, ceilings, and structural cavities. Its 72-inch length reduces the need for multiple access points when fishing long horizontal or vertical runs.
Designed as an OEM-style flexible drill bit for use with standard 3/8-inch drill chucks in residential and light commercial wire-fishing applications.
This bit is typically installed and used by low-voltage technicians, alarm installers, and communication contractors. Ensure the drill chuck is securely tightened before use and that all power sources in adjacent areas are de-energized before drilling near electrical wiring. Do not exceed the rated flex angle of the shaft, as overbending under heavy lateral pressure can cause bit failure. Follow local building codes regarding fire-blocking and penetration sealing after wire runs are complete.
