The ISCAR 7003642 is a countersunk cap screw designed to secure indexable inserts in milling toolholders. It uses a T6 Torx drive and an M2.5 thread pitch, with an overall length of 4.35 mm. This type of hardware is a precision fastener — small dimensions and exact thread engagement are critical for proper insert clamping force and repeatability. It belongs to the Mini TangSlot series and carries the SR style designation. Machinists and toolroom technicians install these screws when replacing worn or damaged insert-retention hardware on compatible milling toolholders.
This screw is intended for use in milling applications with indexable toolholder systems. It is compatible with ETS, FDN, and SDN toolholder styles and is specifically designed for insert hardware retention. Confirmed compatible inserts include LNET 083004-TN-N and LNET 083204-TN-N. Driver compatibility is T-6/3-L and T-6/5. This screw is sold individually but must be ordered in multiples of 5.

Install and remove this screw using a calibrated T6 Torx key driver only — use of an incorrect driver size risks stripping the small head. Before replacing insert hardware, ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the toolholder is removed from the machine or securely locked out. Do not exceed the toolholder manufacturer's recommended seating torque for M2.5 fasteners. Inspect the thread bore in the toolholder body for contamination or damage before installation.
