The insert measures 12.90 mm (0.508 inches) in length with a 0.5-inch inscribed circle and a 1/32-inch (0.0313-inch) corner radius. With a multi-tipped, fine-grain CBN construction and an M2 chip breaker, it is built for controlled finishing and semi-finishing passes on hardened steels, cast irons, and similar hard workpiece materials. Licensed machinists and CNC tooling specialists are the primary installers of this insert type.
This insert is suited for CNC turning centers and lathes running hard materials where CBN outperforms conventional carbide tooling. The CNGA 432-M2 geometry (ISO code CNGA 432-M2, conforming to ISO 13399) fits standard CNGA-style toolholders that accept a clamp and pin holding method.
