The ISCAR 6403825 is a solid carbide chamfering boring bar designed for precision internal chamfering and boring operations on CNC lathes and machining centers. Built from solid carbide with a TiCN and TiN finish coating, this bar delivers wear resistance and thermal stability in demanding cutting environments. It accepts a minimum bore diameter of 0.1969 inches (5.00 mm) and reaches a maximum bore depth of 1.3386 inches (34.00 mm). The 0.0059-inch corner radius and right-hand cutting direction make it suited for close-tolerance internal features. Machinists and tool-and-die professionals working in production turning applications will find this bar a direct fit for small-bore chamfering work.
This chamfering boring bar is intended for use in small-diameter internal machining operations on ferrous and non-ferrous workpieces. It is well suited to production environments where consistent chamfer geometry is required in bores at or near the 0.1969-inch minimum diameter threshold. The 1.9700-inch overall length and 5.00 mm shank diameter fit standard toolholding systems sized for that shank. Typical applications include part deburring, chamfer generation on drilled or reamed holes, and light internal profiling on Swiss-type and gang-tooled lathes.
Designed for use in toolholding systems with a 5.00 mm shank bore. Consult your toolholder manufacturer specifications to confirm bore diameter and projection requirements before installation.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or toolroom professional familiar with boring bar setups. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before inserting or removing the bar from the toolholder. Verify that the shank is seated to the correct projection depth per the toolholder manufacturer guidelines to minimize deflection and chatter. Follow your facility safety procedures and applicable OSHA machine guarding requirements during setup and changeover.
