The ISCAR 6402313 is a solid carbide boring bar designed for internal diameter boring operations on CNC and manual lathes. It features a 4 mm (0.1575 inches) shank diameter and a minimum bore diameter of 0.1575 inches, making it suited for small-bore finish and semi-finish turning work. The bar carries a TiN finish coating with an IC228 manufacturer grade, characteristics that support performance in ferrous materials at moderate cutting speeds. With an overall length of 34 mm (approximately 1.339 inches) and a maximum bore depth of 19 mm (0.748 inches), this tool is compact and optimized for tight bore geometries. Installation and setup are performed by machinists and tool-and-die professionals.
This boring bar is used in precision machining environments where small internal diameters must be held to close tolerances. Typical applications include bore finishing on turned components, mold and die work, and small-part production runs on CNC lathes and turning centers. The right-hand cutting direction is the standard orientation for conventional lathe setups. The solid carbide construction provides rigidity in short-overhang applications where vibration and deflection must be minimized.
Designed as an OEM-style solid carbide boring bar for use in toolholders and boring bar holders accepting a 4 mm shank diameter.
This boring bar is installed and set up by qualified machinists. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before changing or adjusting tooling. Secure the shank firmly in a compatible boring bar holder to the minimum recommended engagement depth to prevent pullout or vibration during cutting. Do not exceed the maximum bore depth specification of 0.748 inches to avoid tool deflection or breakage.
