The insert is manufactured from solid carbide in grade IC830 and carries a PVD-applied AlTiN and TiN coating for heat resistance and edge durability. A 0.25 mm corner radius (0.0098 inch) and J-type chipbreaker geometry help control chip formation and reduce built-up edge during cuts.

This insert is rated for use on superalloys as its primary workpiece material, corresponding to ISO material codes M, P, and S.
