The ISCAR 6011374 is a solid carbide cutoff and grooving insert with manufacturer grade IC830, designed for high-performance parting and grooving operations on CNC turning centers and lathes. Part of the Do-Grip series, this double-ended insert features a 4.00 mm (0.1575 inch) cutting width and a neutral lead angle, making it well-suited for straight grooving and parting cuts. The IC830 grade is applied via a PVD coating process, optimizing the insert for use on superalloys and a broad range of workpiece materials. The chipbreaker style is C, and the insert seat size is 3. Licensed machinists and tooling specialists install and index this insert in compatible Do-Grip clamp-style toolholders.
This insert is primarily intended for grooving and parting applications on superalloys, steels, and other demanding workpiece materials classified under ISO material codes M, P, and S. It is suited for both production shop and job shop environments where consistent groove geometry and tight tolerances are required. The double-ended design allows the insert to be indexed, extending usable tool life per insert. It is compatible with Do-Grip series clamp-style toolholding systems. The part conforms to ISO 13399 standards, supporting integration with digital tool management systems.
Designed for use with Do-Grip series clamp-style toolholders accepting insert seat size 3. Suitable for grooving and parting operations on workpiece materials classified under ISO codes M (stainless), P (steel), and S (superalloy).
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or tooling technicians. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the toolholder is secured before indexing or replacing the insert. Use the appropriate torque wrench and seating tool specified by the toolholder manufacturer when clamping the insert — do not overtighten by hand. Inspect the insert seat for chips or debris before seating to ensure proper contact and geometry.
