The ISCAR 6003582 is a solid carbide cutoff and grooving insert in the Tang-Grip series, designed for parting and slitting operations on CNC lathes and turning centers. It carries the TAG N2C designation with a 0.079 inch (2.01 mm) cutting width and a neutral lead angle, making it suitable for straight-in plunge cuts. The insert is manufactured from submicron-grade solid carbide and coated with a PVD-applied TiN and TiAlN multilayer finish under the IC808 manufacturer grade. A 7-degree relief angle supports clearance during the cut. This is a single-end insert that locks into compatible Tang-Grip toolholders via a self-grip holding method.

This insert is intended for use in metal removal applications across a broad range of workpiece materials. The IC808 grade with universal primary workpiece material compatibility covers ferritic and martensitic steels (P), stainless steels (M), cast irons (K), hardened steels (H), and superalloys (S).
