The ISCAR 6003288 is a double-ended solid carbide cutoff insert designed for parting and grooving operations on CNC lathes and turning centers. It belongs to the Do-Grip series and features a 3.00 mm cutting width (0.1181 inches) with a 6-degree right-hand lead angle. The insert is manufactured in ISCAR grade IC908 with a PVD coating for improved wear resistance and edge integrity. It measures 20.40 mm (0.8031 inches) overall length and carries a corner radius of 0.02 mm. Rated for universal primary workpiece material compatibility across ISO material groups, this insert is installed and changed by machinists and CNC turning specialists.
The 6003288 is suited for parting-off and deep grooving applications in general turning operations. Its double-ended geometry extends usable insert life before replacement. With a maximum depth of cut of 18.00 mm (0.7087 inches), it handles a broad range of workpiece diameters. The ZS chipbreaker geometry supports chip control across a wide range of feed and material conditions. This insert is intended for use in compatible Do-Grip toolholders and cartridge systems that accept the DGR 3000 insert style.

Installation is performed by machinists or CNC tooling technicians. Always power down and lock out the machine spindle before seating or removing inserts. Ensure the toolholder pocket and clamping surfaces are clean and free of chips before inserting. Do not exceed the toolholder manufacturer's recommended clamping torque specifications for the Do-Grip system.
