The ISCAR 6003286 is a solid carbide cutoff and parting insert from the Do-Grip series, designed for precision grooving and parting operations on CNC lathes and turning centers. It carries the DGR200ZS-15D designation with an IC908 grade coating applied by PVD process, delivering consistent wear resistance across a broad range of workpiece materials. The insert features a 2 mm cutting width (0.0787 inches), a 15-degree right-hand lead angle, and a ZS chipbreaker geometry. With a maximum depth of cut of 18 mm (0.7087 inches) and a corner radius of 0.02 mm, it is suited for controlled, repeatable cutoff work in production environments. Licensed machinists and CNC operators are the primary installers of this consumable tooling item.
This insert is built for universal workpiece material compatibility, covering ISO material groups H, K, M, P, and S, which correspond to hardened steels, cast irons, stainless steels, carbon and alloy steels, and heat-resistant superalloys. It fits standard Do-Grip double-ended insert holders designed to accept the DGR 2000 insert size code. The double-ended design provides two usable cutting edges per insert, reducing cost per part in high-volume parting applications. Typical use cases include bar-fed turning operations, facing, and grooving on both ferrous and non-ferrous workpieces in job shop and production machining environments.
Designed for use in Do-Grip series clamping toolholders that accept the DGR 2000 insert size code. Compatible with ISO material groups H, K, M, P, and S workpiece materials. Conforms to ISO 13399 tooling data standards.
Installation is performed by a qualified machinist or CNC tooling technician. Before changing inserts, confirm the machine is in an E-stop state, the spindle is fully stopped, and the turret or toolpost is in a safe index position. Use the appropriate Do-Grip clamping key or wrench to seat and secure the insert fully before resuming cuts. Inspect the insert pocket and clamping screw for wear or damage each time an edge is rotated or replaced.
