The ISCAR 6003124 is a solid carbide cutoff and grooving insert from the PentaCut series, designed for precision parting and grooving operations on CNC lathes and turning centers. It features a 2.39 mm (0.0941 inch) cutting width with a neutral lead angle and a 1.20 mm (0.0472 inch) corner radius. The insert is manufactured from solid carbide in grade IC908 with a PVD coating applied for wear resistance. It carries the J chipbreaker geometry, suited for chip control across a range of workpiece materials. Installation is performed by qualified machinists and toolroom technicians working with ISCAR PentaCut-compatible toolholders.

The 6003124 insert is intended for grooving and cutoff applications in general turning environments. The IC908 grade with PVD coating supports use on a broad range of workpiece materials classified under ISO material groups H, K, M, P, and S, covering steels, stainless steels, cast irons, hardened materials, and superalloys.
