The ISCAR 6003045 is a double-ended solid carbide cutoff and grooving insert from the Do-Grip series, designed for precision parting and grooving operations on CNC lathes and turning centers. The insert carries the IC1028 manufacturer grade with a PVD-applied TiAlN and TiN coating for wear resistance and thermal stability. Cutting width is 2.20 mm (0.087 inches), with a neutral lead angle and a 0.20 mm corner radius. The chipbreaker style is C. This insert is intended for use by machinists and tooling specialists working in production turning environments.

This insert is suited for grooving and parting applications on stainless steel and steel workpiece materials, corresponding to ISO material codes M and P. Installation Notes

Insert seating and clamping should be performed with the toolholder secured and the machine powered down and locked out per facility lockout/tagout procedures. Inspect the insert pocket for chips or debris before seating the insert. Use the appropriate torx or hex key specified by the toolholder manufacturer when tightening the clamping screw. Do not exceed the maximum depth of cut rating for the insert style.
