The ISCAR 6003035 is a solid carbide cutoff and parting insert from the Do-Grip series, designed for precise groove and parting operations on CNC lathes and turning centers. Carrying the IC908 grade with a PVD coating, this insert delivers consistent performance across a broad range of workpiece materials. The double-ended design features a 1.4 mm cutting width (0.0551 inches), a 15-degree right-hand lead angle, and a 7-degree relief angle. A JS chipbreaker geometry promotes efficient chip evacuation during parting cuts, reducing the risk of chip packing in deep slots. Licensed machinists and CNC operators typically select this insert for its reliable edge life and tight-tolerance cutting geometry.
This insert suits parting and grooving applications across universal workpiece material groups, including ISO material codes H, K, M, P, and S. That coverage spans carbon steels, stainless steels, cast irons, non-ferrous alloys, and high-temperature alloys, making the 6003035 a practical stock item for shops running mixed-material production. It is held in place via a clamping method, consistent with standard Do-Grip toolholders. Maximum depth of cut reaches 15.00 mm (0.5906 inches), supporting full parting-off of small-to-medium diameter bar stock.
Designed for use with Do-Grip series clamping toolholders that accept DGR-style inserts with a 1400 size code. Compatible workpiece material groups include ISO codes H, K, M, P, and S. Material grades C1, C2, C6, and C7 apply per manufacturer classification.
Installation is performed by a qualified machinist or CNC setup technician. Power down and lock out the machine spindle before seating or replacing inserts. Use the appropriate Do-Grip clamping toolholder and verify the insert is fully seated and the clamp is engaged before returning the machine to operation. Follow the toolholder manufacturer torque and clamping guidelines for Do-Grip style inserts.
