The ISCAR 6002857 is a solid carbide cutoff and grooving insert in the GFN 2.4J IC328 series. It is engineered for single-end use in parting and grooving operations on CNC lathes and turning centers. The insert carries an IC328 manufacturer grade with a PVD coating, making it well suited for cutting superalloys and other demanding workpiece materials. The cutting width measures 0.0941 inches (2.39 mm), the corner radius is 0.0063 inches (0.16 mm), and the relief angle is 7 degrees. A J chipbreaker geometry controls chip formation during deep grooving and parting cuts. The clamp-style holding method locks the insert securely in compatible Self-Grip toolholders.

This insert is intended for grooving and parting applications on metal-cutting lathes in job shop, production, and aerospace machining environments.
