The ISCAR 6002595 is a solid carbide cutoff and parting insert designed for precision grooving and parting operations on CNC lathes and turning centers. Manufactured to the GFR3-4D insert style in grade IC328, it features a 3.00 mm cutting width (0.1181 inches) and a 4-degree right-hand lead angle. The IC328 grade uses a PVD coating process, making it well suited for cutting superalloys and other difficult-to-machine materials. The single-end design uses a clamp-style holding method consistent with the ISCAR Self-Grip tooling system.
This insert is used in parting and cutoff applications on manual and CNC turning equipment across general machining, aerospace, and precision manufacturing environments. It is intended for use with ISCAR Self-Grip series toolholders that accept GFR3 insert seat size 3 tooling. The right-hand insert orientation suits standard right-hand turning setups. Primary workpiece material compatibility is rated for superalloys, with material grade coverage of C2, C3, C5, and C6.
Designed for use with ISCAR Self-Grip series toolholders accepting GFR3 insert seat size 3. Suitable for right-hand parting and grooving of superalloys in CNC turning applications.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or CNC tooling technicians. Power down and lock out the machine spindle before changing inserts. Use the appropriate ISCAR Self-Grip clamping tool to seat the insert fully before resuming cuts. Inspect the insert seat and clamping surfaces for chips or contamination before installation to ensure proper insert retention.
