The ISCAR 6002549 is a solid carbide cutoff insert in the GFN 3J configuration, designed for parting and grooving operations on CNC lathes and turning centers. The cutting width is 3.00 mm (0.1181 inches) with a neutral lead angle, a 0-degree lead angle, and a 7-degree relief angle. A 0.25 mm corner radius reduces edge chipping at the start and finish of each cut. This insert seats into compatible Self-Grip style toolholders and is installed by qualified machinists and tool-room technicians.

This insert is suited for parting and cut-off applications in production turning environments, including both job shop and high-volume manufacturing. Primary workpiece materials are stainless steel and steel, corresponding to ISO material codes M and P.
