Product Description

The ISCAR 6002419 is a solid carbide cutoff and grooving insert in the Do-Grip series, manufactured to the DGN4003C geometry with an IC328 PVD-coated grade. It delivers a 4.00 mm (0.1575 inch) cutting width with a neutral lead angle, 0-degree lead angle, and a 7-degree relief angle. The IC328 grade is a PVD-coated carbide optimized for superalloy and difficult-to-machine materials. The double-ended design extends usable life per insert. Licensed ISCAR tooling technicians and CNC machinists install this insert using the Do-Grip clamp-style holder system on turning and parting-off operations.

This insert is intended for grooving and parting applications on CNC lathes and turning centers handling superalloy workpieces, as well as steel and stainless classifications covered under ISO material codes M, P, and S. The C chipbreaker geometry manages chip flow in these demanding cuts. Typical installations involve high-precision parting-off, external grooving, and face grooving where tight width tolerances and reliable chip control are critical. The Do-Grip clamping method provides secure insert retention under the lateral and radial forces common in parting operations.

Installation Notes
