The ISCAR 6000443 is a solid carbide cutoff insert designed for parting and grooving operations on CNC lathes and turning centers. It carries an IC20 manufacturer grade, an uncoated finish, and a 3.00 mm (0.1181 inch) cutting width suited for precise material separation. The insert seats in Self-Grip style toolholders using a clamp holding method, and it features a right-hand lead angle of 8 degrees with a 7-degree relief angle. A 0.20 mm corner radius helps control chip flow and edge integrity during cut-off cycles. Licensed machinists and CNC operators working in production turning environments are the primary installers.
This insert is rated for universal primary workpiece material, covering ISO material groups H, K, M, N, and S. That broad material code range makes it applicable to cast iron, non-ferrous metals, stainless and heat-resistant alloys, and standard steel grades in both light and moderate cutting conditions. It is cataloged under ISCAR manufacturer catalog number GFR 3-8D and conforms to ISO 13399 tooling data standards. The single-end geometry is intended for dedicated cut-off passes rather than reversible or double-end use. It suits production shops running medium-volume parting operations where consistent chip control and dimensional accuracy at the parting line are priorities.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement insert for ISCAR Self-Grip series cutoff and grooving toolholders accepting GFR-style inserts with a size code 3 designation.
Insert replacement should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC setup technician with the machine in a locked-out, de-energized state per applicable machine safety procedures. Use the appropriate ISCAR torx or hex key to release and re-seat the clamp; do not exceed the toolholder manufacturer torque specification. Inspect the insert pocket and clamp for wear or debris before seating the new insert. Verify correct hand orientation before resuming cutting operations.
