It belongs to ISCARs ISCARTHREAD series and is suited for machinists and tooling specialists working in precision threading applications.
This insert is intended for external threading operations in production and job-shop environments where consistent thread quality across steel, stainless steel, and cast iron is required. The AG60 designation indicates a 60-degree partial profile geometry, making it adaptable across a range of unified and metric thread standards without requiring a dedicated full-profile insert for every pitch. The M chipbreaker geometry is suited for moderate cutting conditions.
