The ISCAR 5902537 is a laydown threading insert designed for internal partial profile 60-degree thread cutting. Manufactured from solid carbide and finished with a PVD-applied TiAlN coating, this insert delivers consistent wear resistance and thermal stability during threading operations. It carries the IC908 manufacturer grade and covers a thread pitch range of 4.5 to 4 TPI (5.50 to 6.00 mm pitch). The right-hand cutting geometry and 5/8-inch (0.6250 inches) inscribed circle make it a standard fit for compatible ISCAR threading toolholders. Machinists and CNC lathe operators working on internal threading applications will find this insert suited to demanding production environments.
This insert is intended for internal threading operations across a broad range of workpiece materials, including steels, stainless steels, cast irons, non-ferrous metals, and high-temperature alloys, reflecting its universal material grade compatibility (C1, C2, C6, C7 material grades; ISO workpiece groups H, K, M, N, P, S). It is used in CNC turning centers and manual lathes wherever a right-hand laydown threading insert in the 27IR style series is required. The ISCARTHREAD series designation confirms fitment within that established product family.
Designed for use with ISCAR 27IR-series internal threading toolholders within the ISCARTHREAD product line. Consult toolholder documentation to confirm insert pocket geometry before installation.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC tooling technician. Power down and lock out the machine spindle before seating or changing inserts. Use the correct torque wrench per the toolholder manufacturer's clamping specifications, and inspect the insert pocket for chips or debris before seating the new insert. Do not exceed the cutting parameters published in the ISCAR threading application guide for this grade and material group.
