The ISCAR 5902060 is a laydown-style threading insert designed for internal UN thread cutting at 32 threads per inch. Built from solid carbide with a PVD-applied TiN/TiAlN coating and ISCAR IC908 manufacturer grade, this insert delivers consistent thread form in a wide range of workpiece materials. The 11IR insert style seats in right-hand internal threading toolholders. With a 0.126-inch thickness and a 0.250-inch (6.35 mm) inscribed circle, it fits standard 11-size laydown threading pockets. The corner radius measures 0.002 inches, supporting sharp, accurate thread profiles. Licensed machinists and CNC operators use this insert in turning centers for precision internal threading operations.
This insert is suited for right-hand internal UN threading on turning centers and CNC lathes in both production and job-shop environments. The IC908 carbide grade with PVD coating handles a broad material range, including steel, stainless, cast iron, non-ferrous, and high-temperature alloys, as indicated by workpiece material codes H, K, M, N, P, and S. It is part of the ISCARTHREAD series and carries an ISO 13399 standard classification, making it compatible with tool assembly and data management systems that use that standard.
Designed for use in right-hand internal 11IR-style laydown threading toolholders within the ISCARTHREAD series. Compatible with workpiece materials coded H, K, M, N, P, and S per the supplier attribute data, covering a universal range of common machined materials.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC tooling technician. Power down and lock out the machine before seating or replacing the insert. Use the correct insert clamp and torx key specified for the toolholder to achieve proper clamping force - do not over-torque by feel alone; follow the toolholder manufacturer torque specification. Verify insert seating and orientation before resuming cutting operations.
