The ISCAR 5695085 is a solid carbide milling insert carrying ANSI designation APKT 100325R IC328, engineered for use in HELIMILL series face and shoulder milling operations. Manufactured to ANSI and ISO 13399 standards, this single-sided, right-hand insert features a parallelogram shape with an 85-degree included angle and a positive rake geometry. The cutting edges are chamfered and honed for controlled edge prep. A PVD-applied TiCN coating over the IC328 substrate provides wear resistance and thermal stability across demanding cutting conditions. The insert measures 0.398 inches in length, 0.264 inches in inscribed circle diameter, and 0.138 inches in thickness, with a 0.0984-inch corner radius and a maximum depth of cut of 0.315 inches.
This insert is intended for use in CNC milling applications targeting steel, stainless steel, superalloys, and titanium workpiece materials, corresponding to ISO material groups P, M, and S. It is suited for both roughing and semi-finishing passes where positive rake geometry reduces cutting forces and insert loading. The screw-held mounting method and right-hand orientation make this insert compatible with the ISCAR HM90-10 cutter series. It is commonly installed by machinists and CNC programmers operating vertical and horizontal machining centers in precision manufacturing, aerospace, and general metalworking environments.
Designed for use with the ISCAR HELIMILL HM90-10 cutter series. Insert style code APKT 100325R is compatible with toolholders specifying an APKT 10 seat size with screw-type insert holding. Suitable for workpiece materials in ISO groups P (steel), M (stainless steel), and S (superalloys and titanium), corresponding to material grades C2, C3, C5, and C6.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or toolroom personnel. Power down and lock out the machine spindle before changing inserts. Seat the insert fully against the pocket walls and tighten the clamping screw to the toolholder manufacturer's specified torque using the correct Torx or hex key — do not overtighten, as this can fracture the carbide body. Inspect the pocket and seating surface for chips or debris before installing a new insert, and verify the cutting edge orientation matches the cutter hand before resuming operation.
