The ISCAR 5691111 is an end replaceable milling tip from the Multimaster MM ERS series, designed for modular milling tool systems used in precision metal removal applications. This carbide tip features a 12 mm cutting diameter, a maximum depth of cut of 9 mm (0.3546 inches), and a functional length of 16.50 mm (0.6501 inches). The IC908 grade carbide substrate is sub-micrograin and coated with TiAlN via a PVD process, providing wear resistance and thermal stability across a wide range of workpiece materials. The tip runs right-hand with a 4-flute configuration and a 45-degree helix angle, making it well suited for roughing operations. Licensed machinists and CNC tooling technicians are the primary installers.
This milling tip is intended for use in MM ERS-compatible modular milling holders and is rated for cutting steel, stainless steel, cast iron, non-ferrous metals, superalloys, titanium, and hard materials. The 90-degree lead angle and 45-degree chamfer angle make it effective for shoulder milling and roughing passes where a flat bottom profile is required. The tip does not support coolant-through delivery. It conforms to ANSI standards and carries the full description designation MM ERS120B09-4T08 with an insert size code of 120B09.
Designed for use with MM ERS-series modular milling holders that accept insert size 120B09. Compatible workpiece materials include steel, stainless steel, cast iron, non-ferrous metals, superalloys and titanium, and hard materials as indicated by ISO material codes P, M, K, N, S, and H.
Installation is performed by a trained CNC tooling technician or machinist. The milling tip must be seated fully into a compatible MM ERS modular holder before securing; follow the holder manufacturer's specified clamping torque procedure. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before changing tips. Do not exceed the maximum depth of cut of 9 mm in a single pass to avoid tip fracture or premature wear.
