Product Description

The ISCAR 5667183 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-performance metal removal in demanding machining environments. Built on the ECKI-H4R-CF Chatter Free platform, it features a variable helix and variable index geometry that actively reduces vibration during cuts. The mill is 3/4 inches in diameter with a 1-1/2 inch length of cut, a 0.04 inch corner radius, and a 4 inch overall length. An AlTiN (TiAlN) PVD coating provides thermal resistance and surface hardness for extended tool life in ferrous and exotic alloy applications. This tool is rated for both roughing and finishing operations in a single-end configuration.

This end mill is suited for CNC machining centers handling steel, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, titanium, and hard materials. The short-length geometry and straight-cylindrical shank make it well-matched for rigid setups in production shops and toolrooms where chatter control is a priority. It is installed in a standard toolholder by a machinist or CNC operator. The centercutting capability allows plunge entry where process requirements call for it. The right-hand flute direction and right-hand cutting direction follow standard CNC milling conventions.

Installation Notes

Installation is performed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the tool is secured to the correct torque specification for the toolholder manufacturer before beginning a cut. Verify runout after installation using a dial indicator before engaging the workpiece. Coolant-through is not supported on this tool; apply flood or mist coolant externally as process conditions require.
