The ISCAR 5666930 is a solid carbide milling insert designated H600 WXCU 070515T in the IC808 grade, engineered for high-feed milling operations in the HELI6FEED series. It features a trigon (WXCU) insert shape with an 80-degree included angle, a negative rake geometry, and a T-Land cutting edge style that improves edge strength on demanding materials. The insert carries a multilayer Sumotec PVD coating — TiAlN, AlTiN, and TiN — applied over a submicron carbide substrate, delivering wear resistance and thermal stability. Thickness measures 0.2320 inches with a corner radius of 0.0590 inches (1.50 mm). This insert is installed by machinists and toolroom professionals running milling operations on CNC machining centers.
This insert is suited for milling steel, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, titanium, and hard materials, covering ISO material codes P, M, K, S, and H. It is a double-sided insert offering six cutting edges per unit, which extends usable tool life per insert. Typical applications include face milling, shoulder milling, and high-feed roughing passes where a rigid, screw-held insert with consistent edge geometry is required. The right-hand cutting orientation and T-chip breaker geometry make it well matched to aggressive feed-rate programs on modern multi-axis machines.
Designed for use with ISCAR HELI6FEED series cutter bodies in the FWX and EWX families. ANSI code H600 WXCU 070515T IC808; ISO code H600 WXCU 070515T. Conforms to ANSI and ISO 13399 standards.
Installation is performed by a qualified machinist or toolroom technician. Ensure the cutter body is removed from the spindle and all machine motion is locked out before seating or replacing inserts. Use the correct Torx or hex key specified by the cutter body manufacturer when driving the clamping screw — do not overtighten or cross-thread. Inspect the insert pocket seat for chips or debris before seating a new insert to ensure proper seating and runout.
