The ISCAR 5650727 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling of non-ferrous metals. With an 8 mm (0.315 inch) cutting diameter and a 50 mm (1.969 inch) length of cut, this tool delivers accurate material removal in demanding machining environments. The extra-long 150 mm (5.906 inch) overall length provides extended reach for deep-pocket and cavity work where standard-length tools cannot access. The 4-flute, right-hand spiral configuration at a 30-degree helix angle promotes smooth chip evacuation and stable cutting performance. Material grade IC08 is suited for non-ferrous applications including aluminum and copper alloys. The bright, uncoated finish is appropriate for these workpiece materials and simplifies tool inspection.
This end mill is used in CNC machining centers and manual milling machines for profiling, slotting, and contouring operations on non-ferrous metals. The extra-long length type makes it well suited for aerospace, mold, and die work where deep feature access is required. It is a single-end, center-cutting tool, allowing plunge entry as well as standard peripheral cutting. Machinists and tooling engineers working with aluminum, copper, brass, and similar non-ferrous stock will find the IC08 grade and uncoated surface finish appropriate for these materials.
Designed for use with standard straight-cylindrical shank tool holders accepting an 8 mm (0.315 inch) shank diameter. Intended for milling operations on non-ferrous metals (material code N), including aluminum, copper, and brass alloys.
Installation and tool changes must be performed by a qualified machinist with the machine spindle fully stopped and locked out per applicable shop safety procedures. Verify the tool holder collet or chuck is clean and within the specified runout tolerance before clamping the 8 mm straight-cylindrical shank. Confirm shank engagement depth meets the tool holder manufacturer's minimum recommendation to avoid deflection during cutting. Extra-long end mills are more susceptible to vibration at extended overhangs — minimize unsupported length and verify workpiece fixturing rigidity before commencing the cut.
