The ISCAR 5650520 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling of non-ferrous metals. With a 6 mm (0.2362 inch) cutting diameter and 8 mm length of cut, this stub-length tool delivers rigid, accurate material removal in tight setups. The three-flute geometry paired with a 38-degree right-hand spiral helix promotes efficient chip evacuation and smooth cutting action. Material grade IC08 suits this tool to aluminum, copper, brass, and similar non-ferrous workpiece materials. The bright, uncoated finish is appropriate for applications where coating interaction with the workpiece is a concern. Machinists and CNC operators working in job shop or production environments will find this end mill well-suited to slotting, profiling, and contouring operations.
This end mill is intended for use on CNC machining centers and manual mills processing non-ferrous metals (workpiece material code N). The stub length of cut range of 0.3000 to 0.5000 inches suits shallow-to-moderate-depth passes where tool deflection must be minimized. The straight cylindrical shank at 6 mm diameter provides secure clamping in collet chucks, end mill holders, and hydraulic toolholders. Single-end construction means the tool is replaced when the cutting end reaches end of life. Right-hand cutting and right-hand flute direction are standard for conventional CNC spindle rotation.
Designed for use in standard collet chucks, end mill holders, and hydraulic toolholders accepting a 6 mm straight cylindrical shank. Intended primarily for non-ferrous metal workpiece materials including aluminum, copper, and brass alloys.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the tool release mechanism is engaged before inserting or removing the end mill. Use a calibrated torque wrench when tightening collet nuts or set screws to the toolholder manufacturer's specification. Confirm runout at the cutting edge with a dial indicator before beginning any production run to avoid premature tool wear or workpiece damage.
