The ISCAR 5650057 is a solid carbide ball end mill designed for precision milling of complex contoured surfaces, cavities, and profiles in demanding metalworking applications. With a 1.00 mm mill diameter and a 1.00 mm length of cut, this is a micro-geometry tool built for fine-detail work where dimensional accuracy is critical. The TiAlN coating delivers high heat resistance and wear performance, making it well-suited for dry or semi-dry cutting conditions at elevated speeds. The 30-degree medium helix promotes smooth chip evacuation and reduces cutting forces at small diameters. Machinists and CNC programmers working in tool and die, mold making, and aerospace component finishing will find this tool appropriate for tight-tolerance profiling passes.
This end mill is configured as a single-end, right-hand cutting, right-hand flute tool with an extended reach design. The 4.00 mm shank diameter provides a stable grip in standard collet chucks. The stub-length classification and 2.20 mm reach length make it appropriate for shallow pocket work and surface finishing where minimal overhang reduces chatter. The EB-A2 series is engineered for small-diameter applications across a range of workpiece materials including hardened steels, cast irons, stainless steels, carbon steels, and high-temperature alloys as indicated by material codes H, K, M, P, and S.
Designed for use in CNC machining centers with standard collet systems accepting a 4.00 mm shank. Suitable for workpiece materials including hardened steels (H), cast iron (K), stainless steel (M), carbon and alloy steels (P), and high-temperature alloys (S) per ISCAR material group designations for the EB-A2 series.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC setup technician. Seat the 4.00 mm shank fully into a clean, undamaged collet or tool holder and torque the clamping mechanism per the toolholder manufacturer specification. Inspect the collet bore and shank for burrs or contamination before assembly. At micro diameters, runout control is critical — use a high-precision collet chuck and verify TIR with a dial indicator before production cutting.
