The ISCAR 5623206 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for demanding material removal in steel, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, titanium, and hard materials. It measures 3/4 inches in diameter with a 1-1/2 inch length of cut and a 0.12 inch corner radius that reduces stress concentration at the cutting edge. The 5 inch overall length and straight-cylindrical 3/4 inch shank provide rigidity in standard toolholders. An AlTiN (TiAlN) PVD coating boosts heat resistance and wear life at elevated cutting temperatures. The four-flute, single-end design with variable index and helical flutes makes this tool well suited for both roughing and finishing passes in a single setup.
This end mill is engineered for use in CNC machining centers and milling operations where tight tolerances and clean finishes are required on difficult-to-machine materials. It belongs to the ISCAR ECI-E4-CF Chatter Free series, which uses variable index flute spacing to suppress vibration during aggressive cuts. Typical applications include profiling, slotting, and contouring on aerospace, die and mold, and general precision machining workpieces made from steel, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, and hard material grades. The right-hand flute direction and right-hand cutting direction are standard for conventional CNC milling spindles.
Designed for use with standard CNC toolholders accepting a 3/4 inch straight-cylindrical shank. Primary workpiece materials include steel, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, titanium, and hard materials (ISO material codes P, M, K, S, H). Part of the ISCAR ECI-E4-CF series.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC setup technician. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the toolholder is properly torqued to the machine manufacturer's specification before beginning a cut. Confirm runout is within acceptable tolerance using a dial indicator before engaging the workpiece. This tool is not center-cutting; avoid plunge cuts directly into solid material.
