The ISCAR 5623080 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for demanding metal removal in industrial machining applications. Built to the ECI-H4R-CF Chatter Free series, this single-end mill features a 0.25-inch diameter, a 0.01-inch corner radius, and four helical flutes with a variable helix and variable index geometry that suppresses chatter during aggressive cuts. The AlTiN (PVD) coating provides thermal resistance and wear protection when cutting ferrous and hard materials. At 2.5 inches overall length with a 0.5-inch length of cut, it is sized for short-reach, high-precision work in production environments.
This end mill is suited for milling steel, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, titanium, and hard materials in roughing and finishing operations. The centercutting design allows plunge entry, expanding its range in mold, die, and general machining setups. With a straight-cylindrical shank at 0.25 inches diameter and a 0.75-inch reach length, it seats directly in standard toolholders without adapters. It is intended for use by machinists and CNC operators in job shops, production facilities, and toolrooms requiring consistent corner geometry and surface finish on difficult workpiece materials.
Designed for use with standard cylindrical-bore toolholders accepting a 0.25-inch straight shank. Suitable for machining steel, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, titanium, and hard materials as defined by ISO material codes P, M, K, S, and H.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator with the machine powered down and locked out before tool changes. Seat the straight-cylindrical shank fully into the toolholder and torque the retention mechanism per the toolholder manufacturer specification. Confirm runout with a dial indicator before production cutting. Do not exceed the manufacturer-rated depth of cut or feed rate for the workpiece material being machined.
