The ISCAR 5623056 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-performance milling in demanding material applications. It features a 4 mm cutting diameter, a 0.20 mm corner radius, and five flutes with a variable helix and variable index geometry. The AlTiN PVD coating provides thermal resistance and wear protection at elevated cutting temperatures. At 57 mm overall length with a 9 mm length of cut and 6 mm straight-cylindrical shank, this tool is engineered for both roughing and finishing operations. The extended reach design and center-cutting capability make it suitable for plunge entry and complex profiling work. Machinists and tooling specialists working in precision CNC environments are the primary installers and operators.
This end mill is suited for milling steel, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, and hard materials, covering ISO material groups P, M, K, S, and H. Its submicron carbide grade and normal pitch flute configuration make it appropriate for high-speed finishing passes as well as aggressive roughing cuts on hardened and difficult-to-machine workpieces. The 12 mm reach length and e8 mill diameter tolerance support tight-tolerance profiling and slotting in both production and job-shop CNC machining environments. It belongs to the ISCAR EC-H5M-CFR series.

Installation is performed by a machinist or CNC tooling technician. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before tool changes. Verify the toolholder collet or chuck is sized for a 6 mm shank and torqued to the toolholder manufacturer's specification. Confirm runout is within acceptable limits before beginning a cut, as excessive runout accelerates wear on small-diameter carbide tools.
