The ISCAR 5622971 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precise material removal in non-ferrous metal applications. Part of the ECA-H3-CF Chatter Free series, it features a 3 mm cutting diameter, a 0.1 mm corner radius, and a variable helix geometry that reduces vibration and chatter during both roughing and finishing passes. The three-flute, right-hand cutting configuration paired with a coarse pitch makes it suitable for aggressive stock removal while maintaining dimensional accuracy. At 57 mm overall length with a 7 mm length of cut and a 12 mm reach length, this tool fits standard toolholder setups used in CNC milling operations. It is uncoated and manufactured from fine grain carbide.
This end mill is intended for machining non-ferrous metals including aluminum alloys, copper, and similar materials. The single-end, center-cutting design allows plunge entry and full peripheral cutting. The extended reach geometry accommodates pockets and features with moderate depth. It is sized for a 6 mm straight-cylindrical shank and mounts directly into compatible collet chucks or shrink-fit toolholders. Typical applications include contouring, slotting, and profiling operations on CNC machining centers in job shop and production environments. The Chatter Free series designation indicates geometry optimized for vibration suppression, which is especially useful in long-reach or thin-wall cutting situations.
Designed for use with standard collet chuck or shrink-fit toolholders accepting a 6 mm straight-cylindrical shank. Intended for non-ferrous metal workpiece materials as indicated by the N material application code in the ECA-H3-CF series.
Installation should be performed by a qualified CNC machinist or tooling technician. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the tool change is performed per the machine tool builder guidelines before inserting or removing the end mill. Shank diameter tolerance is h6, so verify the toolholder bore is clean and within specification before clamping. Do not exceed the recommended length of cut to avoid deflection or tool breakage.
