The ISCAR 5622436 is a solid carbide corner chamfer end mill designed for high-performance milling in steel, stainless steel, and cast iron applications. Built on the ECI-E4-CF series platform, it carries a 1/2 inch cutting diameter, a 1 inch length of cut, and a 45-degree chamfer angle with a 0.02 inch chamfer width. The AlTiN PVD coating supports elevated cutting temperatures and extends tool life in ferrous and hard-material environments. With an overall length of 3.5 inches and an extended-reach design, this single-end, four-flute tool suits both roughing and finishing operations across a range of machining centers and manual mills.
This end mill is suited for shouldering, slotting, ramp-down entry, helical interpolation, drill milling, and plunging and recessing operations. The variable index geometry helps reduce chatter and improve surface finish consistency. Its 1.5 inch reach length and 0.02 inch neck diameter allow access to deeper features and confined pockets. Primary target materials include steel, stainless steel, and cast iron, with secondary capability in non-ferrous metals, superalloys, titanium, and hard materials. This tool is specified for CNC machining centers operated by machinists and tool-and-die professionals working in precision manufacturing and job shop environments.
Designed for use in standard straight-shank tool holders accepting a 1/2 inch shank diameter. Compatible with steel (P), stainless steel (M), and cast iron (K) as primary workpiece materials, and non-ferrous metals (N), superalloys and titanium (S), and hard materials (H) as secondary. Manufacturer catalog number ECI-E4L500-1.0/1.5C500CF. Material grade IC900.
Installation is performed by a qualified machinist using a compatible straight-shank tool holder and appropriate torque wrench per machine tool manufacturer specifications. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is powered down before changing tooling. Verify tool holder runout before commencing a cut, as excessive runout accelerates wear on carbide tooling. Follow shop-specific feeds, speeds, and coolant procedures for the workpiece material being machined.
