The ISCAR 5622107 is a solid carbide corner chamfer end mill designed for precision chamfering and edge-breaking operations on ferrous and non-ferrous workpiece materials. The tool measures 0.25 inches in diameter with a 0.5-inch length of cut and a 0.01-inch chamfer width, making it well-suited for tight-tolerance finish work. A 45-degree helix angle promotes smooth chip evacuation and reduces cutting forces. The TiAlN coating provides thermal resistance and extended tool life under demanding cutting conditions. This is a single-end, centercutting tool with right-hand flute direction and right-hand cutting action. Machinists and CNC tooling specialists are the primary users.
This end mill is suited for chamfering, deburring, and edge-preparation passes on machined components in production and job-shop environments. The 0.25-inch shank diameter and 2.5-inch overall length allow it to seat in standard collet chucks and end mill holders without extended-reach toolholding. The 4-flute configuration supports higher feed rates in finishing operations compared to 2-flute alternatives, particularly on steel, cast iron, and hardened alloys where the TiAlN coating provides the most benefit.
Designed as an OEM-style solid carbide corner chamfer end mill for use in standard 0.25-inch collet chucks, end mill holders, and shrink-fit toolholding systems on CNC machining centers and manual mills.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC tooling technician. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is in a safe state before changing tooling. Seat the shank fully into the holder to the recommended gauge-line depth and torque the retention mechanism per the toolholder manufacturer specification. Inspect the cutting edges for chips or damage before each use, as carbide tools can fracture under impact or improper runout conditions.
