The ISCAR 5621691 is a single-end corner chamfer end mill designed for creating chamfered edges and blended corner profiles on ferrous and non-ferrous workpieces. Built from submicron-grade solid carbide, it delivers high rigidity and wear resistance at elevated cutting speeds. The tool features a TiAlN coating that enhances thermal stability and extends tool life in dry or semi-dry cutting environments. Key geometry includes a 0.25 inch diameter, 0.5 inch length of cut, 0.01 inch chamfer width, a 45-degree chamfer angle, and a 45-degree high helix spiral flute configuration across four right-hand flutes. Licensed machinists and CNC operators working on precision part finishing install this tool in standard collet or end mill holders.
This corner chamfer end mill is suited for finish chamfering operations on milled components in job shop, toolroom, and production machining environments. The coarse pitch, four-flute spiral geometry supports chip evacuation in both ferrous and hardened materials. The straight cylindrical shank measures 0.25 inches in diameter with a 2.5 inch overall length, making it compatible with standard ER collets and side-lock holders used on vertical machining centers and CNC mills. It is not center-cutting and does not support coolant-through delivery, so external flood or mist coolant should be directed at the cutting zone. No chipbreaker or extended-reach configuration is present on this tool.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement-grade corner chamfer end mill for use in standard 0.25 inch straight-shank collet and end mill holder systems on vertical machining centers and CNC milling machines.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator. Power down and lock out the spindle before securing the tool in the holder. Ensure the shank is clean and seated to the proper gauge-length depth in the collet or holder before torquing the retention nut. Because this tool is not center-cutting, avoid plunge entry directly into solid material; use ramping or helical interpolation for entry moves.
