The ISCAR 5621624 is a carbide end replaceable milling tip designed for the Multimaster MM EC-6 modular tooling system. It features a 0.500-inch cutting diameter, six flutes, and a 45-degree helix angle that promotes smooth chip evacuation during aggressive material removal. The tip is manufactured from sub-micrograin carbide in grade IC908 with a PVD-applied TiAlN coating, making it well suited for high-performance milling in demanding workpiece materials. Licensed machinists and CNC tooling technicians install this tip as a quick-change replacement on compatible Multimaster shanks, reducing downtime compared to solid-body end mills. The 90-degree lead angle and right-hand cut geometry are standard for this series.
This milling tip is suited for face milling, shoulder milling, and slotting operations where maximum depth of cut reaches 0.374 inches and cutting width reaches 0.500 inches. The IC908 grade is rated for steel, stainless steel, cast iron, non-ferrous metals, superalloys, titanium, and hard materials, covering ISO material groups P, M, K, N, S, and H. It fits production and job-shop environments running vertical machining centers, horizontal machining centers, and multi-axis CNC mills where modular tooling systems reduce tooling inventory. No coolant-through capability is present in this configuration.
Designed for use with the ISCAR Multimaster MM EC-6 modular tooling system. Insert size designation is .500B37R000. Confirm shank interface compatibility with the Multimaster adapter or holder before installation.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or CNC tooling technicians. Power down and lock out the machine spindle before removing or installing any replaceable milling tip. Use the appropriate ISCAR Multimaster torque wrench or assembly tool as specified for the MM EC-6 interface — do not use general-purpose wrenches that can damage the tip seat or threads. Inspect the tip seat on the holder for chips, debris, or wear before seating the new tip.
