The ISCAR 5621186 is a solid carbide chamfer mill designed for chamfering and countersinking operations on a range of metals encountered in precision machining environments. The tool features a 12 mm cutter head diameter, a 12 mm shank diameter, and an overall length of 83 mm. With four flutes and a TiAlN coating, it delivers efficient chip evacuation and extended tool life when cutting carbon steel, hard alloy, and stainless steel. The single-end configuration and right-hand cutting direction suit conventional vertical machining centers and CNC milling setups. This tool is sized and specified for professional machinists and toolroom technicians working to close tolerances.
The 5621186 is intended for use in chamfering and countersinking applications across ferrous metals including carbon steel, hard alloy materials, and stainless steel. Its solid carbide construction and TiAlN finish support higher surface footage compared to uncoated HSS tooling, making it a practical choice for production runs and job-shop work where tool change frequency and edge life are priorities. The 12 mm shank seats directly into standard ER or end mill collet holders without adapters.
Designed for chamfering and countersinking on carbon steel, hard alloy, and stainless steel workpieces. Fits standard 12 mm collet or end mill holder systems used in CNC vertical machining centers and manual knee mills.
Installation and tool changes must be performed by a qualified machinist with the spindle at a complete stop and machine power isolated. Seat the shank fully into the collet or tool holder and torque the retention nut according to the holder manufacturer specifications before running. Verify runout with a dial indicator before cutting. Coolant-through is not supported on this tool; flood or mist coolant applied externally at the cutting zone is acceptable where the machine setup allows.
