The ISCAR 5620965 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for high-performance milling in demanding metalworking applications. Built with 6 flutes and a 45-degree helix angle, it delivers smooth chip evacuation and stable cutting action across a range of workpiece materials. The mill measures 0.5 inches in diameter with a 2-inch length of cut and a 4.25-inch overall length. A TiAlN coating extends tool life in high-heat cutting environments. The IC900 material grade provides the hardness and wear resistance needed for production milling. Licensed machinists and CNC operators in job shop and manufacturing settings are the primary installers of this tool.
This end mill is suited for milling ferrous metals, stainless steels, high-temperature alloys, and cast irons, as indicated by the primary workpiece material codes H, K, M, P, and S. The long-reach configuration and 2-inch length of cut make it well-suited for deep-pocket milling, slot milling, and profiling operations where standard-length tools cannot reach. It runs single-end with a right-hand cutting direction and right-hand flute spiral. The straight cylindrical shank accepts standard collet chucks and end mill holders in compatible 0.5-inch bore sizes.
Compatible with workpiece material families H, K, M, P, and S as specified by the manufacturer, covering hardened steels, cast irons, stainless steels, general steels, and heat-resistant superalloys. Accepts standard 0.5-inch bore collet chucks and end mill holders.
Installation is performed by a qualified CNC machinist or toolroom technician. Power down and lock out the machine spindle before seating or removing the tool from the holder. Ensure the shank is fully seated in the collet or end mill holder to the recommended engagement depth per the holder manufacturer. Inspect the tool for chipping or coating wear before each use and replace at first sign of edge degradation to prevent workpiece damage.
