The ISCAR 5620958 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling in demanding industrial and machining applications. Built from submicron grain carbide, it delivers edge retention and wear resistance at elevated cutting speeds. The 3/4 inch cutting diameter pairs with a 1-1/2 inch length of cut and a 4 inch overall length, making it a standard regular-length tool suited to a wide range of slotting, profiling, and peripheral milling operations. A TiAlN coating improves thermal resistance and extends tool life in dry or semi-dry cutting conditions. Four spiral flutes at a 45-degree helix angle promote efficient chip evacuation and smooth cutting action.
This end mill is center cutting, allowing direct plunge entry into the workpiece without a pilot hole. It is ground with right-hand cut and right-hand flute geometry. The straight cylindrical shank measures 3/4 inch in diameter, fitting standard ER and side-lock toolholders commonly found in CNC machining centers, knee mills, and manual vertical mills. Primary workpiece material codes indicate suitability for hardened steels, cast irons, stainless steels, carbon and alloy steels, and high-temperature alloys. It is sold individually and intended for installation by machinists and CNC operators working in job shop, production, or maintenance machining environments.
Designed for use in standard 3/4 inch straight-bore toolholders including ER collet chucks, Weldon side-lock holders, and hydraulic chucks on CNC machining centers and conventional vertical mills. Rated for workpiece material codes H, K, M, P, and S covering hardened steels, cast irons, stainless steels, general steels, and superalloys.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the tool path program is verified before securing the end mill in the toolholder. Use a calibrated torque wrench when tightening collet nuts or set screws to the toolholder manufacturer specifications. Inspect the cutting edges and shank for damage before each use, and confirm runout with a dial indicator after installation.
