The ISCAR 5620955 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision material removal in metalworking and machining applications. Built to ISCAR material grade IC900 and finished with a TiAlN coating, this end mill delivers thermal resistance and extended tool life under high-speed cutting conditions. It features a 0.4370 inch cutting diameter, a 1 inch length of cut, and a 45-degree helix angle for aggressive chip evacuation and reduced cutting forces. The 4-flute spiral configuration provides a strong, stable cutting edge suited for finishing and semi-finishing passes. CNC machinists and tool room operators are the primary users of this type of tooling.
This end mill is suited for milling ferrous and non-ferrous metals including steel alloys, cast iron, stainless steel, and high-temperature superalloys, as indicated by the ISO workpiece material codes P, M, K, H, and S. It is configured for right-hand cut with right-hand flute direction, making it compatible with standard CNC machining centers and manual mills using conventional spindle rotation. The straight-cylindrical shank at 0.4375 inch diameter fits standard ER and milling collet chucks. This is a regular-length tool without extended reach, appropriate for close-tolerance work where deflection must be minimized.
Suitable for machining workpiece materials classified under ISO codes P (steel), M (stainless steel), K (cast iron), H (hardened materials), and S (superalloys and titanium). Fits standard 7/16 inch collet chucks and milling tool holders with a straight-cylindrical shank bore.
Installation is performed by qualified CNC machinists or toolroom personnel. Ensure the machine spindle is fully powered down and at rest before inserting or removing the end mill from the tool holder. Secure the shank fully within the collet or chuck to the recommended gauge-line depth to prevent pull-out under load. This tool is not centercutting — do not program direct axial plunge moves; use ramping or helical interpolation entry strategies instead.
