The ISCAR 5620936 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling of ferrous and non-ferrous metals, high-temperature alloys, and stainless steels. It features a 3/8 inch cutting diameter, a 3/4 inch length of cut, and a 3-flute spiral geometry with a 45-degree helix angle. The submicron grain carbide substrate provides edge toughness and wear resistance at elevated cutting speeds. A TiAlN coating extends tool life in dry and semi-dry machining environments. This end mill is centercutting, allowing plunge entry and slot milling without a pre-drilled pilot hole. It is sold as a single unit and is intended for use in CNC machining centers and manual mills operated by skilled machinists or toolroom technicians.
This end mill is suited for milling operations in aerospace, general fabrication, die and mold, and precision job shop environments. The right-hand cut and right-hand spiral flute configuration handles slotting, profiling, shoulder milling, and light plunging. The Weldon flat shank provides a positive drive interface with set-screw style toolholders, reducing pullout risk under aggressive feed conditions. Compatible workpiece material codes include H, K, M, P, and S, covering hardened steels, cast irons, stainless steels, carbon steels, and heat-resistant superalloys.

Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or toolroom technician familiar with milling toolholder setup. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is in a safe lockout state before changing tools. Seat the Weldon flat against the set screw and torque the toolholder fastener per the toolholder manufacturer's specification. Verify runout with an indicator before beginning a production cut, particularly in finish milling applications.
