The ISCAR 5620905 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling in demanding metalworking applications. With a 1/8-inch cutting diameter and a 1/4-inch length of cut, this single-end tool is built for tight-tolerance work in small-bore and detail milling operations. The TiAlN coating provides thermal resistance and extended tool life at elevated cutting temperatures. A 30-degree helix angle promotes efficient chip evacuation and smooth cutting action. Two flutes keep chip load manageable at this diameter. The IC900 carbide grade is suited for a broad range of workpiece materials. Licensed machinists and tool-and-die technicians are the primary users of this tool.
This end mill is intended for milling ferrous metals, stainless steels, high-temp alloys, and cast materials, consistent with its Primary Workpiece Material Codes H, K, M, P, and S. It fits small-part and precision machining environments including CNC machining centers and manual mills where a straight cylindrical shank in the 1/8-inch size range is required. The centercutting geometry allows plunge entry as well as peripheral and slot milling. It is a single-end tool, meaning it is replaced rather than indexed when the cutting edge is worn.
Rated for workpiece material codes H, K, M, P, and S, covering hardened steels, cast iron, stainless steel, carbon and alloy steels, and superalloys. Fits any standard 1/8-inch collet or end-mill holder accepting a straight cylindrical shank.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists following shop safety procedures for rotating tooling. Power down the spindle and confirm the machine is in a safe state before loading or removing the tool. Seat the shank fully in the collet or holder and tighten to the tool-holder manufacturer's specified torque using the appropriate spanner or wrench. Confirm runout with a dial indicator before cutting, as small-diameter end mills are sensitive to concentricity errors that accelerate tool wear.
