The ISCAR 5620834 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling in demanding metalworking applications. It features a 0.3130-inch mill diameter, a 0.8125-inch length of cut, and a 2.5000-inch overall length, making it well suited for slotting, profiling, and peripheral milling operations. The 4-flute, right-hand spiral configuration with a 30-degree helix angle promotes efficient chip evacuation and surface finish. A TiAlN coating adds heat and wear resistance, extending tool life when cutting ferrous and non-ferrous alloys. Installed by machinists and tool-and-die professionals, this end mill fits standard straight-shank collet holders with a 0.3125-inch shank diameter.
This end mill is engineered for use on CNC machining centers, knee mills, and manual milling machines where a regular-length, straight-shank tool is required. The ISCAR IC900 material grade is matched to primary workpiece material codes H, K, M, P, and S, covering hardened steels, cast irons, stainless steels, carbon steels, and high-temperature alloys. Its non-centercutting geometry means it is intended for side milling and peripheral operations rather than direct plunge cuts. The regular length-of-cut range of 0.8000 to 1.0000 inches suits standard depth-of-cut requirements in production environments.
Designed for use with workpiece material codes H (hardened steel), K (cast iron), M (stainless steel), P (carbon and alloy steel), and S (high-temperature and titanium alloys) as specified by the manufacturer. Fits any standard 5/16-inch straight-shank collet or tool holder on CNC or manual milling equipment.
A licensed machinist or qualified tooling technician should install and set this end mill in a properly sized collet holder, ensuring the shank is fully seated and the collet nut is torqued according to the holder manufacturer's specifications. Power down and lock out the spindle before changing tooling. Because this is a non-centercutting end mill, do not use it for direct axial plunge cuts into solid material without a pre-drilled clearance hole or ramping entry. Inspect the cutting edges for chipping before each use and replace worn tooling promptly to maintain dimensional accuracy.
